We usually see bad plastic surgery only when the media publish pictures of celebrities that had some kind of cosmetic surgery. One would mean that these celebs would have the money and the right advisers to pick the best possible surgery but when you look at the results sometimes it is amazing what you see. It just looks not natural.
Another thing that can happen is simply bad luck. No surgery is without risks. Most side effects and complications of a surgery are well known but each patient is different, has a different health condition and history. An excellent surgeon may be able to lower the risks but nobody can reduce them to zero. There is always something that can happen.
On the other hand, it is often the fault of the surgeon or the patient when bad plastic surgery happens. Sometimes cosmetic surgeons try to make things perfect and forget that perfection does not look natural. On the other hands they are often urged by their patients to to their ‘best’. They want the best possible surgery, sometimes at all costs. They want to have the biggest breasts, the youngest face or fat removal on all possible body parts.
Beside all the discussions, a bad plastic surgery is easy to spot. When you see a beautiful women and you don’t know if it is real or not, then you have an example of a perfect plastic surgery. On the other hand, when you can see immediately that there was a surgeon at work, how can this be good cosmetic surgery?
There is a reason why cosmetic surgery costs that much. An excellent surgeon is also like an artist. He must know what results a cut here and an incision there has on the overall appearance of the patient. Making a perfect cut is not enough. He must have experience from many previous surgeries in order to know what looks good and what not.
Unfortunately good plastic surgeons can’t be found around the next corner. Bad surgery happens every day and we have seen many pictures of failed surgeries in the media. Either there was just a young surgeon at work who is lacking the required knowledge or maybe there have been complications. Fact is, your life can be pretty much ruined if you are victim of the circumstances.
The fact that the surgery is not made for any medical reason but just for achieving cosmetic changes doesn’t mean there is less risk. Every surgery could cause a nerve damage for example. This can mean a big decrease in life quality, especially if sensitive areas like the face, eyes, lips or the breasts are affected.
Infections are still a big risk with any surgery. The infection could have a very bad impact on a cosmetic surgery. A simple rule says that the risk of an infection increases with the loss of blood. A surgery where you can loose a lot of blood is a fat removal surgery for example.
Every surgery leaves a scar or other skin damages. If the skin does not recover for whatever reason then it is a serious problem. A surgery can lead to skin death, numbness, dimples or a loss of sensation, things that sometimes never go away again.
To reduce the chances to become a victim of bad plastic surgery you should reduce two main risk factor, one is the surgeon and the other the patient. The patient usually wants and expects too much. Inform yourself what is possible and what remains a dream. Then choose the best surgeon you can find for money. If you save here then you risk your health.
